Marcos Udagawa
(09)
services: design
/animation
client: Marcos Udagawa

I had wanted to work with Marcos for a long time, after having been such a fan of his music. His remix of Iggy Pop's Punk Rocker became the inspiration for this animation. I was super psyched to work with Marcos' long time collaborator and designer Ashley Rurpecht who helped to guide our vision and greatly contributed on the initial concepting. Visit website.

personal project

I wanted to experiment with stop-motion and could work out some ideas that had been floating around in my head for a while. The goal that I set was to make them during my lunch breaks. Shot with a simple point-and-shoot still camera. Soundtracks, in order: Thee Oh Sees, Link Wray, and Wu Tang.

Puma

format: 35mm spec spot (06)

client: Tyche Films

I got a crack at editing this spec commercial, which was a lot of fun. Beatifully shot on film in Los Angeles. Includes a host of funny characters and a nice stunt role down two flights of concrete stairs.
